There are two best tips we’re being marketed to a lot. Yes, but we’re also being just given lot of good ideas and good content.
It’s easy to just kind of like gorge ourselves at that buffet and kind of over eat and overtake on other people’s advice. It’s like you have the power. You have an internal GPS and it’s wonderful that there’s all of these reference points, guides and inspirations.
But, we need to use them as reference points and inspirations and not as models to model ourselves after. We need to model our brands in our business of like our deepest truths and our unique value and our special sauce.
Not on like what other people are doing so. Then that’s also like taking on and juggling too many like tactics, ideas, strategies, platforms at the same time. A big source of overwhelm and then not delegating is overwhelming. If you’re literally doing all the things your business could have, four departments with four people working in each department and you’re trained to do all of their jobs overload.
The Guru overload thing is like we are easily impressed by other people who have positioned themselves to be impressive and it motivates us to want to be impressive. Some of us go about it in a very kind of outside-in kind of way versus an inside-out kind of way.
By doing the things that we think we need to do, by making our Instagram just how it should and by like setting things up in this way externally. That’s like I’m legit. But, they don’t even know their business. They don’t even have a way to make money. And that they’re doing all of these things, putting all this money into all these external things. It’s sort of this like doing the exterior things versus kind of getting things in order inside and then building that out.
